Signing a Compromise Agreement

When you sign a compromise agreement or have the intention of signing one it is always best to be aware about the regulations your complaint can fall into.  The most significant statutory employment rights or those for which compromise agreements can be used are fairly high in numbers to name them all here but if you are in this position then it is worthwhile getting your hands on a complete listing.

If you decide to leave your job and it is related to any of the mentioned statutory employment rights then you are within your rights to request a compromise agreement to be carried out.  Taking this action will ensure that you do not have to suffer by way of an Employment Tribunal but your complaint will still be recognized.  Make sure that you take care to make a note in the compromise agreement which section of the Act that the agreement is based on.  

One other very important thing to bear and keep in mind is that, for your compromise agreement to become effective, it would have been necessary for you to have raised the claim or complaint that you intend to settle with the compromise agreement.
